Our dogs are kept in a FORTRESS !! The former dairy barn is cement block-will not blow away or crumble til the end of time I would say-it stays cool in summer-on top of a hill-and warm in winter-8 inch thick walls.Cement floors are dry and secure-lots of insulation helps to maintain an even temperature without much additional cooling or heating except in extreme weather-fans go almost all the time for good air circulation-dogs have plywood and rubber matting to ease concussion on legs and joints. Can't imagine what this building would cost to duplicate at today's prices-it is a landmark in the area-love to preserve history and "recycle" such a remarkable structure-even has a round roof-quite distinctive from miles away.I like to think about all the people who worked in it before me doing what they loved-caring for their animals.
This is UKC CH Wilderness Shining-Big-Sea-Water (Sparky) after winning his Best in Multiple Breed Show-what a great day for Sparky-he is the grandson of BIMBS UKC CH Wilderness Everlasting (Smartie) and is carrying on the indomitable spirit and show attitude of his grandpa. Sparky LOVES agility and is fearless and athletic on all obstacles.Judge left early that day so my great helper and friend Whitney Innis is holding the trophy-he is available to breed to outside females that qualify.Diva is a stunning daughter of Sparky-what an attitude !! She will have the courage to carry on to Best in Show someday-never quits !! Diva made her first trip to class--she about bursts her buttons trying to outstep and outshine the competition-still a little rough around the edges but so exciting.Great news!!-Diva went Best Puppy in Match at UKC Richmond-!! Judge loved her-she is a sparkler !!
Chumley was a handsome competitor at the Mason Dixon Dog Club UKC show in May-thanks to good friend Terri Creech who took him in the ring once "without momma" to get some play time ideas out of his head.He settled down nicely and was able to get his wins and points to become UKC CH Wilderness Midnight at the Museum.Chumley has moved to Arkansas and will be shown by his new mom.
